Casalnuovo – Probation wasn't enough to keep a 36-year-old from Naples out of trouble; he was arrested again on the morning of Wednesday, January 21st.
The Carabinieri intercepted him in Casalnuovo, while he was wandering suspiciously inside a residential park in the area.
The man, identified as Umberto Di Napoli, had already successfully carried out a robbery shortly before his arrest. During the search, officers found several burglary tools and the proceeds of the theft: a car battery, removed from a parked vehicle nearby.
Despite the surveillance regime he was subjected to, the 36-year-old returned to action, but was betrayed by the timely intervention of the police.
The man was immediately arrested and charged with aggravated theft. The stolen goods were recovered, while the burglary tools were seized.

It's strange that a person like Umberto Di Napoli, even under probation, can continue to steal. Perhaps there are problems with the surveillance system, which isn't working properly and isn't able to prevent certain behaviors.
