Cicciano – Yet another attack on a bank in the Naples area, at a time when the entire region is experiencing a worrying escalation in bank attacks.
During the night, around 3:30 a.m., the Carabinieri of the Nola Company's mobile radio unit intervened at Via Nola 68, in Cicciano, following an attempted robbery at the Credem bank counter.
According to initial reports, unknown individuals in a car used the vehicle as a battering ram, reversing to smash the glass entrance to the institute. Their goal was to reach the ATMs, but the activation of the security system prevented the attack.
The smoke alarm, which went off immediately, saturated the premises, forcing the criminals to abandon their operation and flee before the patrols arrived. No one was injured, and no money has been reported missing at this time.
The Carabinieri have launched an investigation to reconstruct the exact circumstances of the incident and identify the perpetrators of the raid, including through analysis of video surveillance images.
