The Benevento Court acquitted MM, a 38-year-old from Arpaia, of charges of domestic violence and aggravated malicious bodily harm, fully accepting the defense arguments of lawyer Vittorio Fucci.
The episode dates back to an accident that occurred in a well-known Caudine supermarket on the Via Nazionale Appia.
According to the prosecution, the woman, in her capacity as assistant manager, allegedly used multiple actions and threats to force the victim—who had intervened to defend a man she had verbally assaulted—to leave the store. Specifically, she was charged with physical assault resulting in injuries such as a compound fracture of the right carpal and metacarpal bones, with enthesopathy and limited pain and function.
The panel of judges, however, deemed the crimes unproven, ordering a full acquittal due to the lack of evidence.

I find MM's acquittal interesting, but it's strange how such serious accusations were brought before a court and then this decision was reached. Of course, the evidence is important, but there are always two sides to the story.
