Three people were arrested in the Salerno area as part of an operation conducted by the Carabinieri of the Nocera Inferiore Territorial Unit against drug trafficking and the illegal possession of weapons and explosives.

The recipients of the measure, residents of the Agro Nocerino Sarnese area, are a 49-year-old man and two women aged 52 and 22.

They are charged with possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking, illegal possession of weapons and ammunition, and illegal possession of explosives. The operation was the culmination of a complex and detailed investigative effort that allowed the Carabinieri to reconstruct a serious circumstantial evidence.

During the searches, the Carabinieri found a large quantity of various types of narcotics, materials for cutting and packaging drugs, and a significant sum of money, believed to be the proceeds of the illegal activity.

A veritable arsenal was also seized: six rifles, five pistols of various calibers, various types of ammunition, and three explosive devices, one of which was equipped with a radio-controlled activation system. Due to the dangerous nature of the material found, the intervention of the Bomb Squad and Anti-Sabotage Unit of the Investigative Unit of the Salerno Provincial Carabinieri Command was necessary, which secured the explosives.

The operation confirms the Carabinieri's focus on the Agro Nocerino Sarnese area, an area long monitored to combat criminal activity related to drug dealing and illegal possession of weapons.
