Naples – The security alert continues along the main arteries of the Campania capital. The latest incident involves, against his will, a 22-year-old German student in the city on the Erasmus exchange program.
According to initial reconstructions, the young man was walking along Corso Umberto I around 22:00 PM when he was targeted by two individuals. The attack was swift and violent: the criminals physically attacked him, snatching his wallet, containing just €30, before disappearing into the adjacent alleys.
Rescue and investigations
Immediately after the attack, the 22-year-old was taken to the emergency room at Pellegrini Hospital. Doctors, after treating the bruises sustained during the fight, discharged him with a 10-day prognosis.
The Carabinieri of the San Giuseppe station and the soldiers of the Naples Central Company are currently working on the case. Investigators are examining footage from video surveillance cameras in the area to identify those responsible and reconstruct the exact circumstances of a raid that took place in an area typically frequented by residents and tourists.

This news is worrying, but it's not the first time we've heard of attacks in the center. Security and patrols should be increased to reduce the risk of similar attacks in the future.
I agree with you, we need more security and prevention. The authorities must take serious measures to ensure the protection of citizens and visitors, otherwise the situation will only worsen.
I honestly don't understand how these things can happen in a city like Naples. Safety is paramount, and it seems like these incidents aren't getting enough attention. Something concrete needs to be done.
