In Castel Morrone, a construction site for a municipal nursery school has become a prime example of unfair labor practices. A contractor's complaint and the discovery of three undeclared workers have highlighted the precarious situation faced by those who build the future of children.
Castel Morrone – A construction site for a municipal nursery school has come under scrutiny by the Carabinieri and the Caserta Labor Inspectorate.
The inspections, carried out this morning in Castel Morrone, led to the legal representative of the company carrying out the work filing a complaint and the immediate suspension of operations.
The irregularities found
The inspection revealed a serious situation regarding safety and contractual compliance. Three workers were found to be completely undeclared, without any employment contract whatsoever. Among them, a foreigner without a valid Italian residence permit.
But the violations don't stop there. Five other employees had failed to undergo the mandatory preventive medical examination, which is essential to verify their fitness to perform their duties.
Furthermore, the construction site lacked the Operational Safety Plan, an essential document for risk prevention, and the personnel lacked the necessary training required by current legislation.
The reported entrepreneur was fined €5.552 and issued penalties of an additional €17.480. The Carabinieri, along with the Labor Inspectorate and officials from the Caserta Territorial Labor Inspectorate, ordered the immediate suspension of work until legal and safe conditions are restored.
The intervention is part of the targeted checks that the police are carrying out in yards construction workers in the province of Caserta to ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and combat illegal employment.

It's strange how certain situations can still occur today, especially with all the laws in place to protect workers. We hope the situation is resolved soon and that workers can have their rights.
I agree with you, but I wonder why no one notices these irregularities sooner. It's important that checks are more frequent and stringent to prevent these problems at work.
