Yesterday afternoon, the State Police arrested a 37-year-old Neapolitan man caught in possession of narcotics and responsible for resisting arrest and assaulting a public official.
The incident occurred in the Vasto neighborhood, where officers from the Vasto-Arenaccia Police Station, carrying out a territorial patrol, noticed a scooter on Corso Novara with a man on board. Upon seeing the patrol car, he suddenly parked the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot to avoid detection.
A chase ensued through the local streets, ending on Via Bologna. There, the 37-year-old was caught and detained by police after a struggle, further complicated by his resistance. The support of the Vicariate-Mercato Police Station and the Office of General Prevention and Public Rescue was crucial.
During the search, the man was found in possession of three packages containing cocaine. Following the investigation, he was arrested.

The article talks about a man being arrested in Naples, but I'm not sure how it happened. The police are right to check, but these are complicated situations to manage, and perhaps more training is needed.
