Naples: Nightlife venues in the historic center raided, with fines and closures imposed.

Widespread checks by the police, finance police, and the local health authority (ASL): 91 identified, €10 in fines, and two closures. A multi-agency raid against urban decay.

The Naples Police Headquarters has intensified checks in the nightlife areas of the historic center. The State Police's Decumani, Pianura, and Vasto-Arenaccia police stations, the Guardia di Finanza, the local police, and the support of the ASL NA1 Centro have been involved.

91 people arrested and 22 premises searched

The operators identified a total of 91 individuals and inspected 22 businesses. Several owners were found guilty of serious non-compliance, with nine businesses fined for illegal occupation of public land, failure to issue receipts, and the absence of a HACCP manual.

Heavy fines, seizures, and closures of two establishments

The fines amount to approximately €10.000. Two businesses were suspended due to serious hygiene and sanitation deficiencies, while 130 kg of non-compliant food was seized.

The news about nightlife controls is important, but I think there should be more information about the measures to be taken to avoid problems. Business owners need support, not just fines. It's complicated.
