Naples – The National Railway Museum of Pietrarsa closed 2025 with a triumph: over 250 visitors, including approximately 80 from around the world. This is a record result for the FS Italiane Group's strategic hub, located between Naples and Portici, which houses a unique collection of vintage locomotives and carriages.
December proved to be the best month, thanks to the seventh edition of the Christmas markets: 102 people attended, boosted by collateral initiatives and special activities that made the event more captivating than ever.
Train remains the primary means of access to the site, with Trenitalia's regional train and the Pietrarsa Express—a historic train promoted by the Campania Region—facilitating access. This success is increasingly bringing the public closer to railway history, confirming Pietrarsa as a cultural jewel of Campania.

I believe it's also important to promote the area's tourist attractions beyond the museum itself. There are many interesting places to see near Pietrarsa that deserve attention.
I also had trouble finding information about the trains. Perhaps they should improve communication. The museum is beautiful, but access should be easier for everyone.
It's truly an incredible result, but I wonder why there isn't more information about the trains that go there. It's sometimes difficult to find the right timetable, and fares aren't always clear to travelers.
