Naples – Protecting contracts related to the reclamation and urban regeneration of the Bagnoli-Coroglio area and preventing any risk of organized crime infiltration, especially in light of the events planned for the 38th America's Cup. This is the goal of the legality protocol at the center of the meeting held this morning at the Naples Prefecture.
The meeting was attended by Prefect Michele di Bari, Commissioner for the Bagnoli-Coroglio Area of Significant National Interest, Mayor of Naples Gaetano Manfredi, Invitalia, the Regional Director of Labor, and trade unions. The meeting served to define the content of the agreement, which aims to ensure transparency in procedures and fair competition between companies.
The protocol, according to findings, will include a series of "strengthened" control tools: more stringent anti-mafia measures, constant monitoring of construction sites, and targeted checks to combat undeclared work. Among the points indicated is the obligation to comply with safety regulations and rules on the suitability of the workforce employed, with the aim of avoiding distortions and shortcuts in the execution of the work.
A further meeting with all interested institutional stakeholders is scheduled for the coming days. At the end of the meeting, the final text of the protocol will be agreed upon and submitted for signature.
