Afragola - The Naples Police Headquarters' anti-drug trafficking efforts continue unabated. Yesterday afternoon, officers from the Afragola Police Station arrested a 55-year-old man, a resident of Caivano, for illegal possession of narcotics.
The operation is part of the extraordinary territorial control operations implemented by the Police Headquarters to curb drug dealing in the area. During a routine roadside check, officers stopped a car carrying the 55-year-old, who immediately aroused suspicion.

A search of the vehicle uncovered 16 packages of cocaine, weighing approximately 7 grams in total, ready to be distributed. €125, split into various denominations of banknotes, was also found on the man, believed to be the proceeds of the illegal activity.
The 55-year-old was immediately placed in handcuffs. The arrest represents yet another blow to drug trafficking networks operating between Afragola, Caivano, and the surrounding municipalities, areas that have long been the focus of intense operations to combat organized crime linked to drug trafficking.
