Ambush on the Pisacane in the Quartieri: Hunt for the third accomplice of the two gunman cousins

Vincenzo Bevivino and Vincenzo Rossi, linked to the Vomero and central Mafia clans, were arrested after taking refuge in Montesilvano. The punitive raid was triggered after a trivial argument to defend an employee. One of those arrested was the target of the shocking ambush at Pellegrini Hospital.

Naples – The escape of the first two Spanish Quarter gunmen lasted less than a week. They left the alleys off Via Toledo and the echoes of gunfire behind them to seek shelter in the province of Pescara, convinced they had disappeared.

Instead, at dawn, officers from the Naples Flying Squad, working with their colleagues from Abruzzo, closed the ring in Montesilvano. Vincenzo Bevivino, 24, and Vincenzo Rossi, 29, were arrested and issued arrest warrants for attempted murder. The hunt continues for the third accomplice, who has also been in hiding for a week.

According to investigators, they are believed to be responsible for the raid that took place at dawn on January 3, when Gianluca Pisacane, 28, owner of a club in the Quartieri district and brother of former footballer and current Cagliari coach Fabio Pisacane, was targeted.

The dynamics and the motive: revenge for an "insulting act"

The violence, once again, comes out of nowhere. A trivial spark in the nightlife turns into a criminal act. According to the reconstruction by investigators at the Montecalvario police station, it all began with an argument between an employee at the Pisacane club and another woman.

Gianluca Pisacane apparently intervened only to defend his collaborator, pushing away his "rival" and her friends. This gesture was interpreted as an affront that deserved to be paid back in blood.

The girl who was chased away reportedly asked the two suspects to intervene to "avenge" the humiliation. Bevivino and Rossi reportedly showed up before Gianluca and his father immediately after the bar closed. A furious argument ensued, culminating in the worst possible outcome: a weapon was pulled out and two gunshots were fired, hitting the 28-year-old in the legs.

A scene captured in every detail by the electronic eyes of video surveillance, which allowed the police to give a name and a face to the alleged attackers in record time.

Criminal profiles and links with the clans

The two arrested are not new faces in the Police Headquarters archives, but figures with a criminal record that speaks of heavy ties and disturbing precedents.
Vincenzo Bevivino is the nephew of Vomero boss Giovanni Alfano, while Vincenzo Rossi, originally from Arenella, is associated with the Masiello clan. The former is defended by lawyer Luigi Senese, the latter by criminal lawyer Leopoldo Perone.

Some of the darkest chapters in recent news have centered on Vincenzo Rossi. The 29-year-old was the protagonist, albeit the victim, of an incident that shocked the city in 2019: the shooting in the courtyard of Pellegrini Hospital. Just two weeks after young Noemi was shot in Piazza Nazionale, a hitman rode a motorcycle into the hospital grounds to kill Rossi, who had already been shot in the leg shortly before and was awaiting treatment. The bullets missed their target, grazing two 16-year-olds who had accompanied him.

But there's more. Bevivino and Rossi, who are cousins, also shared a dramatic arrest in 2020. The Carabinieri of Marano stopped them after a wild chase caused by a broken stop sign. A veritable ammunition store was found in their car: a 7.65 Beretta with its serial number erased, a switchblade, and four semi-full-face helmets, typical kit for live-action shooting.

The two men will be sent to prison today. They are awaiting a validation hearing before the Pescara investigating judge, before the case is likely transferred to Naples due to territorial jurisdiction.

The Naples police headquarters and the local police stations are invincible ❤️. In Naples, hawks, kites, judicial, DIGOS, etc.: they grind you down in a few hours or days at most. The State always wins ❤️

It's surprising how violence can arise from a simple disagreement. The story of Gianluca Pisacane and the raid is deeply saddening and makes us reflect on how some situations can escalate so quickly. Unfortunately, this is not an isolated case.

Vincenzo Ranucci, there are also people in the neighborhood who can teach you how to be a man, try to open your mouth wide and don't generalize, okay?

Alfredo De Santi certainly you learn to be a man what you are not then if you have any problems tell me where you want to get a coffee available

Vincenzo Ranucci, not just there?! Good and stupid are everywhere, and the stupid are much more visible than the good (unfortunately).

Throw them into the fire.... It will be good for the future.... Make videos and show them to the whole world.... this applies to everyone, including the immigrants who continue to do nothing but harm....

Believe me, these women are not unique, there are lots of them, there are those who do it live like them and there are those who do it behind their backs, wake up men, it's not worth it, I hope you regret what you did to this good boy, I love you Andrea

But how did the coach manage to train; with his family members all worked up; obviously his head was somewhere else, his collaborators must have helped him.

Vincenzo Ranucci: So, regardless of the fact that decent people have always existed in the Spanish Quarters, just as the Mazzamma has always existed, and that those who imagine that crime doesn't exist in the Spanish Quarters and, like in the rest of the city, evidently live in another world, haven't disappeared. If you're fooled into thinking that Naples has changed because it's become the leading tourist destination, you're wrong. In fact, crime has increased and is more frightening than in the 80s and 90s. Because, while there was the New Organized Camorra system before, there was more order; those who made mistakes were burned, and things were less bad, unlike today with these unruly and extremely dangerous people who attack everyone without distinction, nothing has changed. In fact, it's worse now.
