ALVIGNANO (CE). A 22-year-old man from Naples, already known to law enforcement, was arrested late yesterday evening, January 2, 2026, by the Carabinieri of the local station for the crime of "illegal possession of narcotics."
The arrest occurred along Corso Umberto I, where officers checked a car registered to a rental company. The young man was inside, and his behavior prompted the Carabinieri to investigate further.
A personal search revealed the narcotics concealed on his person. Inside his sock, the 22-year-old was hiding approximately 100 grams of hashish and 1,2 grams of marijuana. During the search of his vehicle, €1.360 in cash, in various denominations, was also found inside the dashboard, believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing.
The drugs and cash were immediately seized. Following the formal procedures, the young man was arrested red-handed for "illegal possession of narcotics." The Judicial Authority, promptly informed of the outcome of the operation, ordered the 22-year-old to be placed under house arrest and to be tried in the Court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere.

It's a strange thing to happen in this area, but they're used to seeing things like this. I hope the authorities take stricter measures to prevent these crimes, otherwise nothing will be resolved.
