NAPLES – Naples, music, and a career spanning radio, television, and culture. On Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 6:00 PM, the Teatro Trianon Viviani hosts "Renzo Arbore – My Naples," a talk-event dedicated to the city and the artistic journey of one of the most original and influential figures in Italian culture of the late 20th century.
The evening kicks off with "Mettetevi comodi," a book-length interview by journalist Andrea Scarpa for Fuoriscena: a narrative thread that offers an opportunity to revisit Arbore's memories, anecdotes, passions, and cultural visions. The narrative will be guided by a conversation with Marisa Laurito, in a discussion heralded as "lively and affectionate" about the bond between the artist and his hometown of Naples.
At its core is the city's musical soul and its ability to inspire: a journey that unites words, images, and sounds. The program also features footage from international tours with the Orchestra Italiana, as well as excerpts from television and radio broadcasts that have influenced generations, portraying an innovator capable of celebrating tradition and bringing Neapolitan culture to the world with irony and elegance.
"Renzo Arbore – My Naples" is produced by Filmitpro and made possible by the Campania dei Festival Foundation. Admission is free, but reservations are required: details and instructions are available on the theater's website, teatrotrianon.org.
