Frattamaggiore – Yesterday, officers from the Frattamaggiore Police Station arrested a 60-year-old man, resident of Sant'Antimo, pursuant to a warrant issued by the Naples Public Prosecutor's Office – Criminal Enforcement Office.

The order, dated January 16, provides for the serving of a definitive sentence of 4 years and 6 months of imprisonment for the crime of fraudulent bankruptcy, committed in the Neapolitan capital in 2008.

The arrested man, already held responsible for malicious conduct related to the bankruptcy of a company—possibly including misappropriation of assets, concealment of documents, or other sham operations aimed at defrauding creditors—has been taken to prison to serve the remaining sentence. This operation confirms the law enforcement agencies' constant commitment to enforcing final sentences, even many years after the events, ensuring the effectiveness of the State's punitive response to economic and financial crimes.

I read that the man was arrested for bankruptcy fraud, but I wonder if there have been other similar cases in the past. The sentence of 4 years and 6 months seems high, even if the crime is serious.
