A double criminal raid rocked the northern and Nola areas overnight. Gangs targeted branches of Banca di Credito Popolare in Giugliano in Campania and Monte dei Paschi di Siena in Nola. The series of attacks immediately triggered a high alert in the area, highlighting a critical security situation at credit institutions.
The Prefecture's response
The government's reaction was swift. The Prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari, has already ordered an immediate increase in patrol services. Police forces will intensify checks in the affected areas to prevent further raids and to provide a constant signal of presence to residents and businesses.
Emergency meeting at the Government Palace
To coordinate a more effective counteraction strategy, the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Safety has been convened for tomorrow, Friday, January 30, at 9:30 a.m. The meeting at the Government Palace will include, in addition to law enforcement officials, the Public Prosecutors of North Naples and Nola, reflecting the seriousness of the incidents.
Following the summit, details of the new measures adopted will be presented at a press conference.
