A completely illegal beauty salon, operating within a private residence and lacking any tax or professional authorization, was discovered in Sirignano, in the province of Avellino, by the Guardia di Finanza (Financial Police). The operation is part of a series of local economic controls aimed at combating illegal businesses and unfair competition.
During the raid, the Avellino Group's financial police discovered that the owner, despite having formally ceased business, had set up a full-fledged beauty salon in her home, equipped with professional facial and body treatments. At the time of the inspection, the woman was performing a manicure on a client, confirming the full operation of the business, which was conducted illegally and in complete tax evasion.
The investigations were strengthened by cross-analysis of tax databases and non-accounting material found inside the residence, including client personal files, a diary with scheduled appointments, and receipts for the purchase of beauty products and materials. These elements helped establish the continued illegal practice of the profession.
During the inspection, a particularly serious issue related to public health emerged. The officers found numerous bottles of nail gel containing TPO, a chemical banned in the European Union since September 1st because it is classified as carcinogenic, toxic, and dangerous to humans. This detail prompted the immediate seizure of the entire beauty salon, including the equipment and products used.
The owner has been reported to the Avellino Public Prosecutor's Office for possession of materials hazardous to human health. As required by law, her liability will only be definitively determined with a final conviction. This operation confirms the Guardia di Finanza's daily commitment to protecting the market, consumers, and businesses that operate in compliance with the rules, combating illegal practices that damage the economy and jeopardize the safety of citizens.
