Barra, a thief summoned and punished for stealing without permission, an Aprea clan member arrested

A breakthrough in the investigation into the January 2025 wounding: a convicted felon has been arrested. The Mobile Squad's reconstruction: first the "sentence" was issued in a neighborhood building, then a Wild West scene on the street with the chase of the victim's brother and the crash into a wall.

Naples – He stole too much and, more importantly, did so without the approval of the bosses. This is the summary "justice" of the Camorra, as evidenced by the pre-trial detention order executed this morning by the State Police, which placed the handcuffs on a convicted felon believed to be connected to the Aprea clan, dominant in eastern Naples.

The charges are serious: personal injury and illegal possession of a weapon in a public place, crimes aggravated by mafia methods.

The arrest closes the circle on a violent incident that took place a year ago, in January 2025, in the alleys of Barra. A story that seems to have been lifted from a crime drama and confirms that, in East Naples, nothing can happen without the approval of the "System."

The summons and the sentence

According to the reconstruction of the investigators of the Flying Squad, coordinated by the Neapolitan DDA, the victim – a 44-year-old local man known as a serial car thief – was lured into a trap

No casual meeting, but a formal summons to a building in the heart of the neighborhood. There, in the presence of several members of the Aprea clan, the man was "tried": he was accused of independently running a car theft ring, bypassing the criminal hierarchy and likely creating "political" problems or a lack of revenue for the gang. Words quickly turned to lead: a bloody warning to re-establish the hierarchy.

The Wild West on the street

But the violence didn't end in the building's entrance hall. After being wounded, the attacker fled in a car with three accomplices. It was then that the scene turned into a thrilling chase: the victim's brother, hearing the news and determined to take justice into his own hands, set off in pursuit of the attackers in his own car.

A mad dash through the streets of Barra ended with the fugitives' car crashing into the wall of a house. Despite the accident, the fireteam maintained the composure necessary to cover their escape: one of the accomplices, emerging from the wrecked vehicle, fired several shots at the pursuer's car, riddling it with bullets before vanishing into thin air.

Today, a year later, the state has responded: the investigating judge of the Naples Court has signed the warrant to jail the perpetrator of that punitive expedition, revealing the internal dynamics of a clan that claims to control every aspect of the neighborhood's illegal life.
