A police stop outside a Battipaglia home resulted in the arrest of a foreign national on charges of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking. The operation took place in the Lido Lago area, a coastal area of the Salerno town at the edge of the Sele plain, during a prevention operation by the local police station.
The man was stopped at the entrance to his home while he was with a Brazilian woman. The woman was found in possession of a package containing approximately one and a half grams of cocaine, prompting the officers to investigate further.
A subsequent search of the home uncovered more narcotics and everything needed to package the doses. Approximately thirteen grams of cocaine, a precision scale, and materials used to prepare the drugs for sale were seized inside the home.
Following the investigation, the man was arrested. The drugs and drug paraphernalia found were seized, while investigators continue their investigations to reconstruct any contacts and the distribution network in the Battipaglia coastal area.
