A packed room of 250 people enlivened the "Il Giocattolo Sospeso" charity dinner, organized by the Super Sud ETS Foundation in collaboration with the Campania Food Bank.
The event, now in its seventh year and the second year of collaboration between the two organizations, has collected over 1000 toys—thanks in part to Lego's contribution—for children hospitalized in the region's pediatric hospitals. Volunteers dressed as superheroes will distribute them over the coming days, making Christmas a time of joy for the most vulnerable.
A simple gesture that warms hearts
The initiative goes beyond charity: it's an act of human kindness during a delicate time like the holidays. "We've been running this event for seven years," said Giovanni D'Avenia, president of the Super Sud Foundation, "and for two years we've been doing it with the Food Bank. We don't just collect toys, but smiles, looks, and caresses for children experiencing a less fortunate Christmas."
The funds raised during the evening will finance Epiphany stockings and gifts, with the AGE association taking care of direct distribution to the departments.
The Food Bank's message and the support of the local area
Roberto Tuorto, director of the Campania Food Bank, emphasized: "We don't just offer daily material assistance, but smiles and caresses, especially for sick children and their families in hospital. Together with Super Sud, we bring hope during the most difficult holidays."

This initiative is truly important and meaningful. Collecting toys is a wonderful gesture for the children in the hospital. Collaboration between the organizations is essential, but I'm not sure how the toys are distributed.
