A 30-year-old man of Moroccan origin was arrested yesterday afternoon by officers at the Vicaria-Mercato Police Station on charges of theft and resisting arrest.

The victim, busy unloading some material from a van, suddenly noticed a stranger quickly walking away with his backpack, which he had just taken from the unattended vehicle. Instead of giving up, the owner reacted quickly: remembering that the backpack contained headphones with geolocation enabled, he opened the app on his smartphone, tracking the perpetrator's movements in real time.
