This morning, January 21, 2026, the construction site on Via della Repubblica in Parete witnessed an unusual presence: amid scaffolding and wooden planks, Carabinieri from the local station joined forces with soldiers from the Carabinieri Labor Inspectorate of Caserta and officials from the Territorial Labor Inspectorate to cross-check workplace safety.

The operation, conducted quietly but with meticulous attention to detail, targeted a company operating in the construction and services sectors in the local area. The checks identified four workers, all legally employed. This fact underscores the fact that the inspections are not intended as a witch hunt, but rather to ensure protection and prevent workplace accidents.

The military then focused its attention on the structural aspects of the construction site, where critical issues related to the safety of the scaffolding emerged. Specifically, violations were noted regarding the space between the structure and the building and the absence or incompleteness of the safety railings. These technical details, in the workplace, can pose real risks for those working at height.

Following the irregularities discovered, administrative fines totaling €5.695,38 were imposed. The cooperative's legal representative was remanded in custody, as required by applicable law. The administrative and judicial authorities were formally informed of the inspection findings.

Inspections at the Parete construction site are important for safety, but it's strange that only four workers have been identified. I hope inspections continue to be conducted to prevent accidents and ensure safety on the job.
