Marano – The Naples Police Headquarters' offensive against drug trafficking in the hinterland continues unabated. Yesterday afternoon, Mobile Squad officers dismantled a drug dealing center operating in the municipality of Marano di Napoli, arresting a 42-year-old man already known to law enforcement for specific crimes.
The Falcons' search, sparked by targeted observation, began inside the man's home. During the search, officers found 104 packages of marijuana, weighing approximately 3,3 kg, as well as all the materials needed to weigh and package the doses.
The most significant aspect of the investigation, however, concerns the methods of distribution. The investigation revealed that the man was running a full-fledged "drug e-commerce" through a dedicated social media channel. The drugs were advertised and sold through this digital platform, a strategy designed to minimize physical contact and the risks associated with direct exchanges between sellers and buyers on the street.
The man was arrested on charges of illegal possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking and placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
