Two inmates at Benevento prison, Achraf Nejjoum, of Moroccan origin and resident in the city, and Alfonso Pastore, originally from central Naples, were reported for unauthorized access to communication devices by inmates and for resisting a public official.

The charges were filed following a search conducted by prison police officers, during which the material believed to be the subject of the crime was found and seized. The order was issued by the Benevento Public Prosecutor's Office, coordinated by Deputy Prosecutor Giulio Barbato.

Specifically, Achraf Nejjoum—assisted by his lawyer, Massimo Viscusi—was detained following four final convictions related to cocaine dealing incidents that occurred in the Tor Vergata area of Rome. He had been acquitted in two other proceedings, both for similar crimes.

His criminal record also includes an escape from house arrest in San Salvatore, for which he was initially sentenced to eight months in prison in the first instance, a sentence later overturned on appeal with an acquittal.

The overall sentence, initially set at six years and eight months of imprisonment, was subsequently revised by the Benevento Court through the application of the rules of formal complicity and continuing crime, resulting in a reduction to three years and eight months.

Investigations into the events that occurred inside the penitentiary are still ongoing.

It's interesting to see how certain situations develop in prison. What I don't understand is why inmates continue to commit crimes even after being convicted. It would be helpful to understand more about these episodes.
