The operation took place along Via Consortile, in the Asi industrial area of Carinaro, in the Caserta province. Both individuals, already known to law enforcement, were found in possession of burglary equipment and now face forced removal from the area.
The intervention in the Asi area
The property crime prevention unit led the officers to concentrate their checks in the industrial area of Carinaro. There, they noticed a Hyundai i20 with two men inside, a 36-year-old and a 27-year-old, both residents of Naples and with prior convictions for theft and robbery. Something in their behavior aroused the officers' suspicions, and they decided to conduct a more thorough search.
The arsenal in the trunk
A personal and vehicle search confirmed their suspicions. In the trunk of the car, the Carabinieri found a veritable burglar's kit: burglary tools, gloves, neck warmers, flashlights, and even specific items to distract guard dogs and pets. All the equipment, clearly intended for an imminent series of residential burglaries, was seized.
Expulsion order and breached obligation
In light of the evidence gathered, both were recommended for mandatory expulsion orders, prohibiting them from returning to the municipality of Carinaro. Complicating the situation, one of the two was already under house arrest in his municipality of residence. He was therefore reported to the competent judicial authority for violating the imposed provisions. The Carabinieri of Gricignano immediately informed the magistrate of the incident.
