Casagiove – Two homeless Georgian citizens, aged 34 and 42, were arrested yesterday evening for aggravated theft inside the Lidl supermarket in Casagiove. Carabinieri officers from the Caserta Carabinieri Mobile Unit intervened.
According to the reconstruction, the two were caught immediately after having stolen various types of goods, not attributable to basic necessities, having managed to evade the security systems of the commercial establishment.
The stolen goods, worth approximately €270, were fully recovered and returned to their rightful owner. Those arrested will be tried under a fast-track trial.

I agree, but perhaps there are reasons that drive people to commit such acts. It would be interesting to better understand the social situation that leads to these events.
It's a worrying situation: supermarket thefts have increased, and it's unclear why. The authorities should intervene more decisively to ensure the safety of residents and stores.
