Casagiove – Law enforcement continues to crack down on environmental crime in the Caserta area. As part of operations to combat wildfires and illegal waste disposal in the so-called "Land of Fires," Provincial Police officers, led by newly appointed Commander Biagio Chiariello, have pulled off a major raid in the municipality of Casagiove.
A 700-square-meter auto body shop was investigated and found to be completely illegal. During the raid, supported by Italian Army personnel, the officers found a dozen cars undergoing repairs in a situation of complete disregard for current regulations.
Waste and illegality: the balance
The inspection revealed unlawful management of hazardous waste, resulting in the crime of illegal disposal. The operation had a serious impact:
Preventive seizure of the entire area and more than 10 vehicles present.
The business owner has been reported to the Public Prosecutor's Office of Santa Maria Capua Vetere.
Administrative fines exceeding €6.000.

The operation is part of a broader action plan aimed at restoring legality in an area ravaged by environmental degradation. Authorities have already announced that inspections will continue uninterrupted in the coming weeks.
