Late in the morning of Saturday, January 17, 2026, officers executed a detention order issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Naples Court of Appeal – Criminal Enforcement Office. The man, who had received final convictions for serious crimes, was located and arrested without resistance.
Cumulative sentence: 5 years, 5 months and 28 days
The order imposes a total residual sentence of five years, five months, and twenty-eight days on the arrested person.
The convictions cover a wide range of crimes: from personal injury to mistreatment of family members or cohabitants, to drug dealing. These incidents, once final, made it inevitable for the Carabinieri to intervene to ensure their execution.
Escorted to the police station for formal procedures, the 71-year-old was immediately transferred to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison. There, he will remain at the disposal of the judicial authorities, pending further investigation.
