A man from Casal di Principe, in the province of Caserta, was arrested by the State Police on the orders of the investigating judge of the Naples North Court for repeatedly assaulting his ex-partner. The woman, a teacher, had broken off the relationship last September and had since become the victim of harassment and violence by her ex.
The last attack occurred on January 3rd, when the man struck the woman in the face at a bar. Similar incidents had previously occurred at a gas station. After the victim filed a complaint, officers from the Casal di Principe Police Station began an investigation, confirming the allegations and the real risk that the man would repeat the attacks.
At the request of the North Naples Prosecutor's Office, the judge ordered the man's pre-trial detention, to ensure the woman's safety and prevent further episodes of violence.

It's sad to hear about these incidents, but the law must take its course. The woman deserves to be protected, and I hope justice is served to prevent similar situations from happening again in the future.
