Cesa – A severe blow to illegal gambling in the Agro Aversano area. A raid carried out in the past few hours uncovered a veritable parallel gambling system inside a gaming hall in Cesa, resulting in a criminal complaint and a record-breaking administrative fine.
The operation was conducted by the Carabinieri of the local station in close collaboration with personnel from the Customs and Monopolies Agency (ADM) in Caserta. The officers and officials thoroughly examined the business, focusing on the legitimacy of the gaming machines present in the room.
The inspection revealed a scenario of complete irregularity: eleven slot machines were found to be completely "phantom." The machines lacked the necessary authorizations and, even more seriously, were not connected to the state's telematics network. The lack of connection to the AAMS not only drains the Treasury of significant resources by avoiding tax collection, but also removes all forms of player protection, making it impossible to monitor payout percentages and ensure the transparency of gaming.
The authorities responded immediately. Following the investigation, the business owner was reported to the judicial authorities. The state faced a very heavy toll: administrative violations were reported, resulting in fines totaling €121.
