Charlie Puth is coming to Pompeii. The American pop star, author of global hits such as "Attention," "We Don't Talk Anymore," and "See You Again" with Wiz Khalifa—the soundtrack to Fast & Furious 7—will perform on July 24th at the Amphitheater of the Excavations, as part of "Beats of Pompeii 2026."
The announcement came today from the organizers of the festival that fuses contemporary music and archaeological heritage at the UNESCO site.
A world tour that passes through Italy
The Italian date is part of the "Whatever's Clever! World Tour," during which the artist will perform songs from his fourth album, due out in March. With over 35 billion global streams to his credit, Puth will bring his sophisticated and melodious pop to the evocative setting of the Pompeii ruins, just weeks after his appearance at the Super Bowl halftime show in San Francisco, scheduled for February 8th.
Tickets will go on sale on Friday, January 16, a date strategically chosen to coincide with the release of the second single from the new album, entitled “Beat Yourself Up.”
An excellent cross-genre billboard
With this twelfth announcement, “Beats of Pompeii” consolidates its reputation as an event capable of bringing together icons of classical music, jazz, progressive rock, metal, and international pop on the same bill. The July lineup ranges from a tribute to Miles Davis with Marcus Miller, Mike Stern, and Bill Evans (July 22) to Marillion's sold-out double dates (July 25 and 26), from the power of Savatage (July 27), to the progressive rock of Opeth (July 10, already sold out).
The lineup is completed by the advanced rock of Beat, ex-King Crimson (2 July), the indie-folk of Icelanders Of Monsters and Men (24 June), the indie rap of Coez (11 July), Riccardo Cocciante for a special date in the year of his 80th birthday (4 July), the cellist Hauser (31 July), Riccardo Muti with the great Italian symphonic-operatic repertoire (18 July) and the guitarist Pat Metheny (6 July).
“Beats of Pompeii” is promoted by the Ministry of Culture and the Archaeological Park of Pompeii in collaboration with the Municipality and the Campania Region.
