On Monday, January 19, Naples is preparing to block the Circumvesuviana due to a 24-hour strike called by the Confail union, which is demanding action on organizational issues. Service will be guaranteed only during peak hours, creating significant disruption for commuters.

Naples – Total shutdown, off-peak hours. On Monday, January 19th, Circumvesuviana network users should prepare for a day of severe disruption. The Confail union has called a 24-hour strike for train crews only, demanding a solution to "company organizational issues."

The Ente Autonomo Volturno (EAV), which manages the line, confirms the work stoppage and outlines the emergency perimeter: service will be provided exclusively during the guaranteed time slots, namely from 5:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Outside these time slots, trains will remain suspended.

This protest action, however, may not be a united one. The company, in a statement, recalls that during the last strike called by Confail, on November 12th, participation was capped at 47% of affected staff. This figure leaves some uncertainty about the actual extent of the strike, but it does not alter the official warning and the call for maximum caution for commuters.

For detailed information on the first and last guaranteed departures for each line, EAV refers you to its official website (www.eavsrl.it), where the timetables in effect during the strike are published. The recommendation for those who need to travel is simple: check, plan, and, where possible, arrange alternatives.
