This morning, January 21, 2026, the construction site on Via della Repubblica in Parete witnessed an unusual presence: amid scaffolding and wooden planks, Carabinieri from the local station joined forces with soldiers from the Carabinieri Labor Inspectorate of Caserta and officials from the Territorial Labor Inspectorate to cross-check workplace safety.

The operation, conducted quietly but with meticulous attention to detail, targeted a company operating in the construction and services sectors in the local area. The checks identified four workers, all legally employed. This fact underscores the fact that the inspections are not intended as a witch hunt, but rather to ensure protection and prevent workplace accidents.

The military then focused its attention on the structural aspects of the construction site, where critical issues related to the safety of the scaffolding emerged. Specifically, violations were noted regarding the space between the structure and the building and the absence or incompleteness of the safety railings. These technical details, in the workplace, can pose real risks for those working at height.

Following the irregularities discovered, administrative fines totaling €5.695,38 were imposed. The cooperative's legal representative was remanded in custody, as required by applicable law. The administrative and judicial authorities were formally informed of the inspection findings.

Wall, a 3-month-old malnourished puppy locked in a closet: rescued by the Carabinieri

by Gustavo Gentile 26 August 2025 - 18:44 18:44

Byete - Yet another dramatic episode of animal abuse shines a spotlight on a sad and recurring bad habit, unfortunately amplified during the summer season: the abandonment and degradation of many domestic animals. During the days when the news reports a peak in abandonments, the Carabinieri of the Wall they brought a rescue puppy Just three months old, found in desperate conditions. The rescue operation took place this morning during an inspection conducted by the military, along with health personnel from the Aversa Local Health Authority (ASL) and social workers. The health workers had been alerted to assess the precarious sanitary conditions of a home and the health of its occupants. What they found, however, exceeded all expectations: locked in a small, smelly closet, where he had been confined for over a month without being allowed out, a mixed-breed puppy, malnourished and in dire health. The medium-sized dog, with a black and white coat, was so weak and neglected that he required immediate veterinary care. The Carabinieri promptly alerted the Aversa Local Health Authority (ASL) veterinary unit, which responded to the scene to provide first aid. Faced with such suffering, those present wanted to give him a name, an identity, and hope for the future: Tudor. After initial care, the puppy was temporarily entrusted to the local social workers. Now Tudor, an involuntary symbol of a social scourge that recurs every summer, is waiting for only one thing: a family to offer him the affection and dignity he was denied. The Parete incident is not an isolated case. In recent times, law enforcement and associations have stepped up their efforts to rescue abandoned dogs or those left in critical sanitary conditions, a sad reminder that the abandonment crisis is, sadly, more pressing than ever.

Inspections at the Parete construction site are important for safety, but it's strange that only four workers have been identified. I hope inspections continue to be conducted to prevent accidents and ensure safety on the job.
