Ercolano – What was supposed to be a quiet evening turned into a nightmare for two young people, a 30-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman, who were surprised by robbers in the middle of the night while they were parked near the Vesuvius Observatory.
The dynamics of the assault
Around 1:00 a.m., the couple was abruptly interrupted by the violent action of two individuals wearing hoods. The criminals didn't hesitate to use the butt of a gun to shatter the right front window of their Fiat 500, demanding the handover of any valuables.
The loot and the escape
In shock, the victims were forced to surrender a bag containing documents, credit cards, and cash, as well as a smartphone and two gold rings. Before disappearing into the darkness, the robbers made one final move to secure their escape and prevent further pursuit: they stole the car keys, leaving the two young men stranded at the scene.
Carabinieri officers from the Ercolano station responded to the scene of the attack. They conducted initial investigations and began identifying the perpetrators, combing the area for possible witnesses or leads that could help identify the fugitives.
