"Petite" is 2SHOT's first single and is available on all digital platforms from CCO Produzioni. The song marks the official debut of the Salerno-based duo, consisting of twenty-year-old twins, and was created inside the Juvenile Detention Center in Airola, in the province of Benevento. Joining them at the mic is Lucariello, a key figure in an artistic journey that has transformed rap from an escape route to a concrete project.

2SHOT was born in Salerno in 2005 to a Neapolitan mother and a father who was half Nigerian and half Cuban. They grew up surrounded by theater and music thanks to their mother, an actress in Tato Russo's company, and were introduced to rap as children, listening to Clementino and recognizing in that direct, visceral language a possibility for authentic expression. Then came their parents' separation, bad choices, and the anger that exploded on the streets, culminating in their incarceration in the Airola juvenile prison, where they remain today.

It was behind bars that rap stopped being a vague dream and became a goal. In 2023, meeting Lucariello, who was involved in the rap workshops at the prison, changed everything. From there, the 2SHOT project was born, with more informed songwriting, a refined technique, and a voice that began to emerge.

"Petite" takes shape with production by Oyoshe, Lucariello, and Shada San, alternating verses in the Campanian dialect and Italian. Harsh rhymes intertwine with melodic inserts, creating a balance between anger and fragility. "The lyrics mention New York City, and this metaphor expresses our need to dream ourselves as far away as possible from the reality in which we wrote these verses. The young 'Petites' we're talking about are the ones we wish we could have been," the twins explain. "We have over 70 demos recorded on the IPM computer, and out of all of them, we chose this song to have the honor of collaborating with Lucariello. We wanted to present ourselves with an intimate piece that lays us bare."

Written in prison, "Petite" is a promise of redemption and a declaration of intent. "We've hit rock bottom several times, now we want to get back up and fly," say 2SHOT. This debut brings words, dreams, and a voice demanding to be heard outside the prison walls.

The single is released by CCO Produzioni, an organization born within the Presidio Culturale Permanente project promoted by the Crisi Come Opportunità ETS association, which has been active for years in Italian juvenile prisons to ensure structured, professional artistic paths that respect authors' rights.

Very interesting articles, and I applaud 2SHOT for their work. It's wonderful to see young people expressing themselves even in challenging situations like prison. Music is a powerful language.
