Woman found dead in caravan in Capaccio-Paestum; investigation underway

A woman in her 40s was found dead inside a trailer parked on Via Fidia in Capaccio-Paestum, in the Salerno area. The discovery, which occurred on the morning of Tuesday, January 6th, was made possible thanks to a tip-off from several residents who had noticed a strong odor coming from the vehicle.

The body, in an advanced state of decomposition, was discovered by the Carabinieri of the Capaccio Scalo station, who immediately responded to the scene.

Initially, based on the documents found, it was assumed that the victim was a man, but subsequent investigations clarified that she was a fair-skinned woman.

There are no signs of violence on the body

Initial external examinations revealed no signs of violence, but an autopsy will definitively determine the cause and date of death. The caravan has been seized for further investigation.

Investigations are currently underway to reconstruct the events and identify the victim. Several possibilities have not yet been ruled out, including natural death, but no other hypothesis has been ruled out. Investigators are interviewing witnesses and gathering any additional information that may be useful to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
