The second part of the fast-track trial against a criminal organization dedicated to drug dealing and home deliveries, operating between Nola, Boscoreale, and the Vesuvian area, concluded with a series of convictions and one acquittal.
The case stems from an investigation targeting a group led by Raffaele Giugliano, 30, a resident of the Piazzolla district of Nola, believed to be the mastermind behind the drug delivery system. Giugliano and his partner, Pasqua Teodosio, from Boscoreale, are niece of local mafia boss Alfonso Annunziata, known as 'a Calabresa.
In the raid last February, 10 people were arrested, while another 14 were under investigation but were at large.
The “home” drug dealing system
According to investigators' reconstruction, Giugliano and Teodosio allegedly managed a structured network of pushers, responsible for delivering ordered doses of drugs directly to customers' homes.
The proceeds were then collected and delivered to the organization's top brass, following a model now well-tested in urban drug trafficking.
The supplier and the 2022 blitz
The system reportedly suffered a setback in December 2022, when the San Giuseppe Vesuviano police raided the home of Domenico Guastafierro, known as “Uncle Mimì,” in Boscoreale.
According to the prosecution, Guastafierro supplied the Giugliano group with large quantities of narcotics for months, acting as a key hub in the supply chain.
