Mondragone – The 23-year-old was arrested yesterday evening, January 6, 2026, by the Carabinieri of the Mondragone Territorial Unit as part of a targeted operation to control the territory and combat drug dealing.
The arrest occurred along Via Domiziana, near the roundabout leading to the Pescopagano exit, where the Carabinieri officers checked a Fiat 500. The driver of the vehicle was a young man of Nigerian origin, resident in Castel Volturno, legally present in Italy and already known to law enforcement.

During the personal search, the Carabinieri found a small bag containing marijuana and five heat-sealed packages of cocaine, hidden among his clothing and underwear. During the operation, they also seized a latest-generation smartphone and €185 in cash, believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing.
The drugs, cash, and cell phone were seized and made available to the judicial authorities. Informed of the outcome of the investigation, the Prosecutor's Office ordered the 23-year-old to be placed under house arrest at his home as a precautionary measure.
