Eboli – Preventive seizure of illegal buildings at a livestock farm in the municipality of Eboli. The operation was carried out on January 14 by officers from the Naval Operations Section of the Salerno Guardia di Finanza, in collaboration with staff from the Municipal Technical Office.
The operation is part of a broader police effort to combat environmental, construction, and urban planning violations in the areas near the slopes, banks, and surrounding areas of the Sele River.
According to the judicial police's reconstruction, the company's managers allegedly carried out construction work on a vast area and a significant volume without the necessary permits and landscaping permits. The work was carried out despite the presence of seals already affixed last April.
During the inspections, it also emerged that the wastewater produced by livestock farming was being illegally disposed of in an irrigation canal connected to the Sele River basin, with potential repercussions on the environment and the river ecosystem.
The operation is part of the ongoing surveillance efforts carried out by the Naples Naval Air Operations Department, which is committed to protecting the environment, ecosystems, and biodiversity at a regional level, with particular attention to highly sensitive environmental areas.

It's a very serious matter that these things are happening. We cannot allow such serious building violations and, above all, illegal sewage disposal. Greater oversight by the competent authorities is needed to safeguard the environment.
