An argument that began over trivial matters quickly escalated into an extremely violent episode. This is the picture emerging from the Carabinieri investigation into the incident in Scafati, where a 21-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
Officers from the Scafati station executed a precautionary detention order issued by the investigating judge of the Nocera Inferiore Court, at the request of the competent prosecutor's office. The order relates to events that occurred on the evening of January 3rd, when an argument between young people, which broke out for reasons believed to be trivial, suddenly escalated.
According to investigators' reconstruction, the 21-year-old pulled out a gun and fired a shot, wounding a 20-year-old man in the left side. The bullet struck the victim in a sensitive area of the body, requiring immediate emergency intervention and raising fears of far more serious consequences.
The investigation, launched immediately after the incident, gathered sufficient evidence to establish the crime of attempted murder. Based on this evidence, the judicial authorities ordered the young man to be held in custody, and he is now in the custody of the judiciary.
After personal and house searches, the two were found in possession of over 2,7 kilograms of cocaine and crack, with an estimated street value of approximately €300.000.
