Naples – An attempted arson attack was reported overnight in Naples, where unknown assailants attempted to set fire to the front door of a home.
The building is home to the family of one of the young men involved in the shooting of Bruno Petrone, the 18-year-old footballer stabbed during the night between December 26th and 27th on Via Bisignano, in the Chiaia district, the heart of the city's nightlife.
The young athlete, who was shot during an argument, was discharged from the hospital only a few days ago after receiving treatment. Yesterday he went with his mother to watch the Angri match, the Excellence team he plays for.
Following an investigation coordinated by the Naples Prosecutor's Office, the Carabinieri arrested four young men and charged a fifth. Among those arrested is one of the residents of the home targeted in the attempted arson.
The preliminary investigations judge ordered the four young men to be held in custody on charges of attempted murder. Investigators are now investigating whether the intimidating act that occurred overnight is directly related to the stabbing incident or whether it was a separate incident.

The idea of setting fire to a door is very serious and makes us reflect on the violence spreading in our city. It's important that the authorities take action to prevent these acts, but also to ensure the safety of citizens.
