Naples – An evening of violence in the heart of the Vomero neighborhood, where a 45-year-old man was arrested on charges of threats, assault, and resisting a public official. The incident occurred near Via Tito Angelini, an area usually frequented by the Certosa di San Martino viewpoint, which for one evening became the scene of a heated brawl.
The alarm was raised following a report to the Operations Room indicating the presence of a highly agitated individual. When officers from the Vomero Police Station arrived on the scene to restore calm, the situation quickly escalated: upon seeing the uniforms, the 45-year-old began swearing at the officers, physically lunging at them.
The arrest wasn't easy. Officers were able to subdue the attacker only with extreme difficulty, but the man's fury didn't subside even once they reached the police station. Even inside the station, the 45-year-old continued his violent behavior, attacking officers again before finally being secured.
The suspect was immediately arrested. The operation is part of intensified territorial control efforts in the hilly areas to ensure public safety.

The article reports an episode of violence in Vomero, but I wonder if there's really any need for such alarmism. Perhaps there should be more controls to prevent similar situations, which have become all too frequent lately.
