Frasso Telesino: Provincial road blocked and village without water: "A Tua Difesa" reports.

Frasso Telesino – A veritable crater has opened along the Frasso–Nansignano provincial road, compromising traffic and effectively isolating the small village. The association "A Tua Difesa," chaired by lawyer Massimo Viscusi, reported the incident, describing it in a statement as an "unworthy and humiliating" situation for residents.

The collapsed road forces residents of the village center to take a long and winding detour through the mountains to rejoin the road leading to Frasso Telesino. This daily inconvenience especially affects the elderly and families.

Adding to the traffic crisis is a far more serious emergency: water shortages. According to the association, Gesesa, the water utility, is no longer responding to residents' complaints. Several neighborhoods reportedly had water shortages for extended periods throughout the winter, including the Christmas holidays, in some cases even for the entire day.

"It's a despicable, shameful, humiliating situation, after a lifetime of sacrifice and hard work," says lawyer Viscusi, also referring to residents forced to obtain water from jerry cans to meet their daily needs.

The association's sights are set on the Municipality of Frasso Telesino, which includes the hamlet of Nansignano, and Gesesa, which they consider jointly responsible for the "unacceptable" conditions and clearly responsible for the failure to resolve problems that have been dragging on for months.

A complaint that demands immediate responses and concrete action, so that an already small and marginalized community is not denied even the right to essential services.

Pratola Serra - Water supply outages have been impacting the community for months now. Irpinia without water for 20 hours a day: a report from Monteforte Irpino.

by A. Carlino 12 August 2025 - 15:11 15:11

Water emergency withoutat the end in Irpinia.

It's truly strange that there are no solutions to such a serious problem; the people who live there deserve more. The lack of water is unacceptable, and the City must do something immediately to help.
