In Boscoreale, near Naples, a 45-year-old man was arrested for aggravated burglary after being caught last August attempting to burgle an apartment. The owner, returning home, noticed the intruder and chased him away. However, the criminal managed to steal cash and several gold jewelry pieces before fleeing.
The breakthrough in the investigation came thanks to images captured by local video surveillance systems, which allowed the Carabinieri of the Boscoreale station to identify the motorcycle used by the thief during his escape. From there, investigators traced the identity of the 45-year-old, arrested in Scafati (Salerno) by order of the investigating judge of the Torre Annunziata court, at the request of the Prosecutor's Office.
The man was transferred to Salerno-Fuorni prison following a pre-trial detention order. This operation demonstrates the importance of security systems and the investigative capabilities of law enforcement in solving even the most complex cases.

I've also noticed an increase in crime; thieves seem to be getting more daring. Perhaps more vigilance and control in neighborhoods is needed to prevent these incidents.
The article is very interesting, but I wonder why there are so many thefts in this area. Law enforcement should do more to protect citizens and ensure public safety.
