Giugliano – A fight that broke out during a dinner apparently escalated to the use of a firearm. It happened last night, around 2:30 a.m., at a restaurant on Via Madonna del Pantano, where Carabinieri officers from the Giugliano Mobile Radio Unit and the Varcaturo station responded.
According to initial reports, the confrontation between two groups of customers continued outside the establishment. During the fight, one of the participants pulled out a gun and fired at a 54-year-old man, hitting him in the abdomen and thigh.
The victim, already known to law enforcement, was rescued and transported to Pozzuoli Hospital: his condition is not serious and his life is not in danger.
Investigations are underway to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the episode and identify all the participants in the fight, as well as the person who fired the shots.

It's a little worrying that things like this happen in a restaurant; it's supposed to be a safe place. Violence never leads to anything good, and I hope the authorities find all the culprits as soon as possible.
