Naples – Not an act of intimidation, but a tragic accident linked to street celebrations. This is the truth that has emerged in the last few hours about the fire that, overnight, destroyed part of Raf Bonetta's new pizzeria, located on Via Cimarosa, in the heart of the Vomero neighborhood.

Security cameras in the area shed light on the circumstances of the accident. The footage captured the moment fireworks exploded near the venue, igniting the flames.

The hypothesis that the accident was related to firecrackers, which had been circulating since the initial investigations by the Fire Brigade, has thus been definitively confirmed.

Raf Bonetta, a prominent figure in the Campania bakery industry and recently awarded the prestigious "Tre Spicchi" (Three Ears) award by Gambero Rosso, shared his story of the night on social media. After hours of apprehension, the entrepreneur posted images of the rescue operations, thanking the community for their solidarity.

"After a sleepless night, we were able to clarify the nature of the event: it was an accidental act involving the use of fireworks," Bonetta explained. "We wanted to reassure everyone. I'm not afraid, and I sincerely thank the friends and staff who supported us from the very first hours."

A major blow just steps from the Floridiana. The accident has hit a very young establishment: the restaurant on Via Cimarosa, featuring a sophisticated design and located directly across from the entrance to the Villa Floridiana, opened last November 6th. Despite the damage to the structure, the owners' intention is clear: to reopen as soon as possible to restore one of Vomero's new hotspots for signature pizza.

The fire at Pizzeria Bonetta shocked the community, but it's good to know it was an accident and not something more serious. We hope Raf can get back on track very soon and that everything will return to normal.
