Cellole - A daring, albeit brief, chase enlivened the center of Cellole on the evening of Tuesday, January 6th. The perpetrator, a 32-year-old local man already known to law enforcement, was arrested for drug dealing and resisting a public officer.
It all began during a patrol by the Carabinieri of the local station. The officers' attention was drawn to a car, a Fiat Punto, driving persistently and suspiciously along Via Risorgimento. When ordered to stop for a check, the driver responded by accelerating suddenly in an attempt to flee.
A frantic chase ensued through the city streets, ending a few minutes later when the Carabinieri managed to safely stop the vehicle. A personal search of the 32-year-old quickly yielded results: the officers found 12 doses of cocaine (for a total of approximately 5,45 grams) and four pieces of hashish (approximately 23 grams), all packaged for retail sale.

In addition to the drugs, a significant amount of cash was seized, €2.111 to be precise, believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing. Both the drugs and the cash were seized.
The man was then taken to the police station and, by order of the judicial authorities, who were promptly informed, was formally arrested. The precautionary measure applied is house arrest, pending the judicial proceedings.

The article is interesting, but I don't understand why there's an increasing drug problem in the city. The authorities should do more to stop these events and help those involved. Let's hope there's more enforcement.

How did heroin arrive in Italy?
Operation Blue Moon – State Heroin – 1970 –
It was the police who introduced heroin into Italy by distributing it to young people between the ages of 14 and 18, with the cover of journalists.
The goal was to create chaos to stop youth protests.
Giancarlo Servolini, a Carabiniere and head of the Anti-Drug Unit, colluded with journalists to trumpet the affair with lies, making people believe what, essentially, the masses now regard as the truth. That is, a lie perpetuated for years. Ruining thousands of families. Terrorizing them. Smearing them. Plunging them into despair. Impoverishing them financially and psychologically.
