Naples – Lorenzo Lucca's Neapolitan career has come to a swift end, and with modest results. After just six months, the 2000-born striker has left Italy and joined the Premier League from Nottingham Forest.

A transfer that unlocks a series of market moves and which for Napoli represents a functional sale to redefine the squad.

The deal, confirmed in the final hours of the transfer window, was finalized as a loan with an obligation to buy, for a total value of nearly €40 million. This solution satisfies the English club and allows Napoli to streamline their attacking lineup, freeing up resources for new signings.

Lucca's adventure under Antonio Conte never really took off. In six months, the giant striker made 23 appearances overall, scoring only two goals: one in the Coppa Italia against Cagliari and one in Serie A against Pisa, the team that launched him. These numbers were insufficient to secure a central role in the highly competitive Italian league.

The deal came together during a busy day for agent Giuseppe Riso, who also managed the swap between Roma and Genoa for Tommaso Baldanzi and the young Lorenzo Venturino. A complex situation that, once resolved, paved the way for Lucca's departure.

A new chapter in England is now beginning for the former Udinese and Pisa player. At Nottingham Forest, an ambitious team that has already invested in several players with Serie A experience in recent months, Lucca will find an international environment, perhaps less burdened by the immediate pressures that characterized his time in Naples. A much-needed rebirth to regain the playing time, confidence, and consistency he failed to find in the South.
