The Caserta State Police arrested a 56-year-old man from Maddaloni on charges of possession with intent to sell narcotics, possession of offensive objects, and resisting a public official.
The operation was triggered during routine checks of the area conducted by officers from the Maddaloni Public Safety Station. The officers noticed the man—who was already known from previous convictions—stopped in an area of the city center, in a car with the engine running, as if waiting.
Upon seeing the patrol, according to the reconstruction, the 56-year-old attempted to throw away a white package. The package was recovered by officers and, according to the investigation, contained approximately 20 grams of cocaine.

The police do a good job, but I think we also need more support for people who fall into these situations; perhaps there should be more rehabilitation programs.
It's amazing how some people don't learn from their mistakes. Sometimes I think the law isn't strict enough for those who commit crimes like this; a more effective solution is needed.
This article is very informative but there are some things that don't add up for me, such as how a 56-year-old man finds himself in such a situation. It seems strange because at that age one should be more mature.
