Napoli – Scott McTominay is sounding the alarm on the eve of the crucial match against Chelsea. Speaking to Sky Sport and at a press conference, the Napoli midfielder made no secret of the importance of tonight's Champions League match at the Maradona stadium.
“Every game is important, but this one is even more so. It can change a lot in our season, and we'll do everything we can to win,” said the Scot, who has special memories against the Blues from his time at Manchester United. “I've faced Chelsea many times; they're a great team with a great manager and excellent players. It will be a tough match.”
The lesson from Juventus
With the defeat at the Allianz Stadium behind us, McTominay looks ahead with determination. "It was a tough match against a good team, but we gave it our all, as always. Conte told us to stay focused. We've analyzed our mistakes and will try to improve, as we've done over the last 18 months."
The midfielder then expressed his gratitude to the Napoli team: "I do my best to recover game after game; that's our job. I'm very grateful for the support of the fans, the staff, and the club. We hope to play a fantastic match in an incredible atmosphere."
For Napoli, the Champions League playoffs are at stake, a goal that will necessarily depend on their performance against one of Europe's big teams.
